This year the Orthodox Easter celebrations were on Sunday 2 May. In the city of Florence this celebration was held in the Florentine Russian Orthodox Church of the Nativity of Jesus Christ and St. Nicholas the Miracle-Worker.
In compliance with the curfew this year the traditional night procession, krestnyj khod, was held on Sunday morning at 6:00 am.
