About us

Good World Citizen is an intercultural organisation based in Florence-Italy, that promotes global citizenship, dialogue between cultures and international cooperation. Since 2021, Good World Citizen brings together individuals, professionals and institutions united by the desire to build a more open, aware and supportive society.

Our mission

We believe in a world where cultural differences are considered an added value rather than seen as obstacles. Through educational projects, cultural events and awareness-raising initiatives, Good World Citizen works to promote mutual understanding, inclusion and active participation. Every activity is inspired by the principles of equality, dialogue and sustainability, with the aim of building bridges between people, communities and institutions.

Our team

The core of the organisation is composed of a group of professionals and global citizens from different fields — academic, scientific, artistic, educational and social — united by the belief that intercultural cooperation can have a real impact. The Good World Citizen board, led by its president Dr Haifa Alsakkaf, coordinates activities and projects together with a large network of volunteers and international collaborators.

Good World Citizen collaborates with public and private institutions, universities and associations that share our values and our commitment to dialogue and solidarity. These partnerships enable us to carry out concrete projects at local, national and international level, strengthening the social fabric and promoting interculturalism in all its forms.

For Good World Citizen, Florence, the city known for Giorgio La Pira e Ernesto Balducci, represents a symbolic meeting place for cultures, art and knowledge.
This is where our initiatives originate, which then extend to European and international levels, always with the desire to promote diversity as a resource and cooperation as a tool for common growth.
